Replacement RBC's at Vertical Shaft WWTP
Before
• The RBC's were not operational
• Continual shaft, chain, sprocket and bearing failures were the norm
• Advanced corrosion of the rotors was evident
After
• TWS designed and supplied the RBC rotors
• The gearbox's are generously sized and can handle restarts from power outages
• The new media is arranged in replaceable modules such that individual modules can be replaced without replacing the entire media pack
• 4 new Rotating Biological Contactors with a larger capacity than the original units were supplied without any changes to the civil’s to accommodate them.
